How to Wear a Scarf Top Knot
1. Revive flat strands.
When you’re having a bad hair day, you most likely are dealing with second-, possibly third-day hair. If that is the case, use TRESemmé Fresh Start Basic Care Dry Shampoo to bring your luscious locks back to life. We love this dry shampoo because it refreshes and adds volume to your hair, which it a total lifesaver. To avoid a white residue, hold the shampoo about 3 to 4 inches from your head and spray your roots to absorb unwanted oil. Let the product sit on your roots for a few seconds, then, gently massage the dry shampoo in, and complete the refresh by brushing it through your hair.
2. Gather all hair into a high ponytail.
Brush your hair into a high ponytail on the top of your head, and secure it with a hair tie. Next, wrap your ponytail around itself until you have created a bun. Use another hair tie to hold your bun in place.
3. Make your scarf top knot last all day.
Even though your hair is up, you don’t want any pesky flyaways or strands popping up throughout the day. Lock everything in place with TRESemmé Compressed Micro Mist Hairspray Boost Level 3. We love this hairspray because it holds any style in place extremely well, but the fine mist allows your hair to still be moveable and not crunchy.
4. Secure your scarf to finish the look.
Alright, now it’s time for the exciting part! Once your top knot is set and you’re sure it won’t be going anywhere, start wrapping your scarf around the base of your bun. You can either leave the end of the scarf out so you can tie it with the other end once the scarf is wrapped around completely, or you can include the end, and tuck the opposite end into the rest of the scarf once it is all wrapped. There you have it! You’ve completed the scarf top knot look.
