Create This Messy Knotted Bun for Thanksgiving
1. Gather Hair into a Low Ponytail
To start this style, begin by gathering all of your hair into a low ponytail at the base of your neck then secure with a hair tie. When gathering your hair, make sure to leave two pieces of hair out of the pony to frame your face. This will help create that effortless messy look.
2. Begin Knotting Hair to Create a Messy Knotted Bun
We know this sounds scary, but trust us, this won’t harm your hair at all. To start the knots, split your pony in half so you have two sections of hair. Begin tying the two sides together like you would when you tying your shoe, except you’re not making the bow. Keep repeating this spet until you run out of hair. Depending on the length of your hair, you may only need to do this once or twice, or you may be able to do it four times!
3. Wrap Hair Around Itself
Now that your hair is all knotted, it’s time to create the actual bun. To do this, begin by wrapping the knotted pony around itself like you would when making a regular bun. Once you’ve made your bun, secure it with some bobby pins. Since nobody likes a flyaway situation, make sure to tuck the ends of your hair underneath the bun when you’re bobby pinning it so nothing looks out of place. 4. Lock Everything in Place
