When it’s time to really step things up to another level… having a summer lovin’ rendezvous in a different location does the trick.
When we talk about intimacy it is usually centered around places that are comfortable for every couple. Places within their own home…like their own bedroom. But sometimes you just need to give your marriage a little bit more of a kick start to get the excitement going. I’ve noticed that sometimes things can get a little rehearsed in the bedroom sector and that is usually when it’s time to really step things up to another level…having a rendezvous in a different location usually does the trick. This doesn’t have to be every time intimacy happens in your marriage…once will take care of that excitement need for a while. So here are a couple “new” places to consider:
The Backyard/Patio This one can be a little tricky, but find a spot in your backyard or on your patio where the neighbors won’t be able to see. Sometimes the riskier (without the actual risk factor) can be a whole lot more fun.
The Back Of Your Car Check out this fun Hijack Date from Kiirsten. Super cute date night idea with the perfect location for when the heat gets turned up later on.
In a Tent Whether your tent is in the backyard or up high in the mountains…this one is always a great option. If you want a date night to go along with this, try this Camp Out Date that includes a Kiss-A-Thon game to get things started {wink, wink}.
Here are few more ideas just off the cuff…
The Laundry Room – Put the washer on spin cycle {wink, wink} Coat Closet The kitchen table (so long as the kids aren’t in the house) The bed of a Pick-up Truck (an inflatable mattress would be ideal for this situation) By a fire – Whether in the comfort of your own home or by your campfire in the mountains In the woods – Drive a 4-wheeler into the netherlands of the woods and… Guest bathroom – ahem…preferably not your own Scenic overlook
If all of these ideas seem to be really out of your comfort zone, try spicing up your bedroom with a new comforter set. It will give you the illusion of being somewhere new and different. Or you can always gussy up your own guest room with the works (Candles, White and Red rose petals, romantic music, some chocolate body paint…hehe)
