To help you with ways to cope with stress when it comes to hair care, here are some of our go-to methods for treating ourselves and keeping things zen in honor of National Stress Awareness Day:
National Stress Awareness Day: Beauty Tips to Relieve Stress
1. Book a massage.
Booking a massage is one of the many ways to release tension from the body. However, we don’t want you to book just any massage. Throw a scalp massage in there too. Scalp massages not only calms you, it also helps with the blood flow in your scalp which many believe can assist with hair growth.
2. Deep condition and chill.
This is one of our favorite things to do on the weekend. There’s nothing like curling up with a book or a good flick while taking care of our hair. This weekend, treat yourself to an at-home hair care treatment. You can take the DIY route or you can use a hair mask like Dove Anti-Frizz Oil Therapy Hair Mask to hydrate your strands.
3. See your hair stylist.
Let’s face it. While taking care of our hair at home helps cut the cost of visiting a salon, sometimes it’s best to have someone else take care of you for a change. Use your hair appointment as a time to relax with a magazine or a glass of champagne while you’re getting a blowout or whatever service you feel your hair needs.
4. Use calming hair care products.
Believe it or not, the scent of your beauty products can put you in a positive mood. Scents of lavender, for example, is known to help with relaxation. Wash your hair with Love Beauty & Planet Argan Oil & Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner to calm frizz and nourish your hair. Let the scent do everything else!
