Oh, weekend, we LOVE you!! Slow Saturday mornings are such a gift! Before you fill your day running errands, cleaning, driving the kids around, or doing yard work, get out of the house for a morning date with your sweetie! Sneak out early, grab some breakfast (sit down or something to-go) and then head out to the golf course. Our golf date printable invitation, food tags, and golf scramble score sheet will make this a Saturday morning to remember. Even if you both stink at golf {that’s ME}, you’ll have a great time at the driving range practicing together! This golf date is so easy and fun, you’ll forget all about cleaning out the garage.
Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. To learn more about ’em, click here. Golf is such a fun sport! Take your spouse out to the driving range to practice your swing together. Don’t forget to get breakfast! You’re going to need all your strength, so pass the eggs please! Joanna of Cutify Creative did such a beautiful job on these printables! We send her new creative design ideas each month and she always blows us out of the water! Seriously, check this girl out! I told my brother about this date idea and he gave me his old set of clubs. Golfing is totally his jam! What a blessing! My husband really wants to get into the game, but we didn’t really know how to start. We made it a double date and my brother came as a helpful coach! It was a great morning!!
Golf Invitation Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, so we started with that. The morning of your date, pick your (or his) favorite breakfast! Try out a local diner or bakery that you’ve been eyeing. If that won’t fit into the budget, make a delicious breakfast at home. Anything to get you fueled for the next part of the date. I left the invite out for my husband the night before so he’d know my plans for the next day.
Golf Treat Tags
Don’t forget some snacks! (I know we just ate breakfast, but these were too cute not to include. You could always use them after as a cool down treat.)
I found cute tin pails and attached a “His” and “Hers” tag to each. Inside are the treats with the appropriate golf tags. After downloading, just cut apart, punch a hole, and attach to the treats.
We didn’t have any golf balls laying around, so I wanted to add some to the treat bucket. This “cute dimples” tag is my favorite!
Couples Scramble If you’re a more experienced golfer, we made this fun couples scramble score card! My dad and brothers love to play this way! Here’s how it works: Both of you tee off together, watch for who has the better shot. For the next play, both of you hit from the best location. That’s right, pick up your ball and place it within a club’s length of the better ball. Keep doing this until someone makes it into the hole. Keep score as a team and get the best game possible!
I decided instead of doing a round of 9 we would opt for hitting a bucket of balls. This is much more cost friendly, less time consuming, and a whole lot of fun for a beginner like me! You could also play a round of mini-golf date with the whole family! (Diva Sarina has an awesome Mini Golf Date.)
It’s time to grab your printables and plan your golf date with your sweetie!
