7 Long Men’s Hairstyles For Thick Hair
1. Braided Ponytail
Howe we love the three-strand-braid. It’s simple enough, once you get used to it. Or, if you’re so lucky to have a gal around when you’re getting ready in the morning you can always ask for a little help in the braiding department. A braid like this would only take a couple of minutes to do. Make it even easier on yourself by pulling all of your hair into a low ponytail first, then braiding the tail.
2. Messy Man Bun
We’re always about the man bun life, and if you have long, thick hair, we suggest the messy man bun. We do have one stipulation though, if you’re going for a messy style, it must be done on clean hair. Wash your hair with the Axe Max Hydrate 2-in-1 Shampoo + Conditioner for clean, soft hair. When your hair is dry, whip it up into a messy bun.
3. Half-Up Top Knot
If you have hair this gorgeous and curly, it’s a shame to hide it all away. Get the same man bun look while showing off your hair at the same time! All you need to do is section off the top of your hair and wind that into the bun. We suggest using the Dove Men+Care Defining Pomade to help you hold down any little hairs or to define specific curls. The overall look is stylish and charming.
4. Braided Half-Ponytail
If all of these styles have had you snoozing so far, try this one for a little more excitement! We love braids on dudes, and that includes accent braids, too! They’re great because they instantly make something simple like a half-up ponytail much more stylish. You’ll need to create several small three-strand-braids throughout the top half of your hair. Then, just pull that top half of your hair into a ponytail. Cool style, done in minutes.
5. Down & Straight
For the total opposite look, you can always wear your hair down. We love this style with a center part because it’s so reminiscent of the ’60s and ’70s hippie hair. But, to make sure you don’t actually look like a hippie, keep your hair clean and detangled.
6. Casual Low Ponytail
An easy way to get your hair out of your face in just a few seconds is the low ponytail. This style is particularly great for dudes who need their hair pulled back but aren’t used to hair styling. All you need to do is wrap a hair tie around your hair at the base of your neck.
7. Structured Wavy Hair
This last style is for dudes with already wavy hair. We love grungy look on long hair too and this is a great way to rock it. Starting with freshly-washed hair, apply some of the TRESemmé Make Waves Shaping Gel throughout your hair. You can also define individual strands for a less wet look. Let your hair dry and the gel will hold your waves in place and add shine! Need more long men’s hairstyles for thick hair? Check out these seven styling techniques for long haired men.
